Construction Truck Driver
OBJECTIVES: In our construction division, a Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting various materials and equipment to project sites. This includes operating dump trucks using the electrical and hydraulic controls to unload materials. Also, they will need to hook up flatbed trailers and secure heavy equipment to prepare for transport. Inspecting and monitoring the loading, unloading, and load securement will be critical to effectively complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner. The driver’s safety and that of others on or near the road is always top priority.
REPORTS TO: Project Managers / Foreman
CLASSIFICATION: Full time (40-50 hours a week)

Key tasks and function
Performing detailed pre-trip inspections and completing appropriate driver logs
Complying with all safety rules and regulations on the road and on our construction sites
Loading and transporting crushed rock, sand, and gravel to and from specified locations
Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management
Set up truck and trailer combinations weighing over 4500kg to transport heavy equipment
Ensure loads are secured properly in accordance with safety requirements (CVOR)
Assist construction crew on site as a support member when necessary
Qualifications and skills
AZ driver’s license is preferred. DZ license can be accepted as well
Previous experience in related field is an asset
Clean driving record is a must
Must be fully proficient with CVOR and Book 7 standards
Excellent communication and time management skills
Knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
